Note to readers & candidates
On this page that you are reading are the names of people that Mecklenburg voters will find on their November ballots, minus the presidential candidates.
The links under each person’s last name duplicate the “index by name” links. That means that clicking on a link at left will open a new page of one or more links to pages on this site that include material in some way tied to that person. Some of that material may be from the 2020 campaign. Some may be many years old. The oldest material is from 2006.
Campaign fliers and events are listed in the Forum’s announcements. The most recent announcements are here. The archive of announcements since 2004 is here. To find announcements material back to September 2014, the search box on the top of any page of this website will return listings for names associated with a handout. And then there is always Google.

Note to readers & candidates
The 2020 election will require some changes in how the Forum presents campaign material. The old buzzard who does this work overpromised in 2019 and the 2020 ballot is longer.
Video and some other material on this site is generally archived under the names of people featured in the material. That “index by name” is here.
On this page that you are reading are the names of people that Mecklenburg voters will find on their March primary ballots, minus the presidential candidates.
The links under each person’s last name duplicate the “index by name” links. That means that clicking on a link at left will open a new page of one or more links to pages on this site that include material in some way tied to that person. Some of that material may be from the 2020 campaign. Some may be many years old. The oldest material is from 2006.
In 2019, this website attempted to archive video showing each time a candidate rose at the Forum during campaign season, to talk about the campaign or simply to make an unrelated announcement. The videos were sometimes revealing, but mostly not and there was a bit of get-on-camera behavior that bogged down the end of Forum meetings. For 2020, newsworthy comments may be posted and listed in the links below, but in general the comings and goings of candidates will not be archived. The old buzzard apologizes.
That covers video. Now about the mountain of campaign brochures, fliers, etc.: Here’s where to find them, because this website will not automatically link all that material back to this page.
The Forum’s announcements include events open to the public. Some require tickets, and every effort is made to include in the listing the price of admission or any request for donations. These entries regularly include candidate fundraisers that candidates or their surrogates announce at Forum or send to the Forum by e-mail. Those entries may also include links to fliers and websites that provide additional information. The most recent announcements are here. The archive of announcements since 2004 is here.
At the bottom of most of the weekly announcements is a “News & Handouts” section and links to lots of campaign materials land in that section. Listed first are names of individuals – mostly elected officials and candidates. Listed second are mostly nonprofits that send the Forum their newsletter or other material. All links in “News & Handouts” are included only once.
News & Handouts items are not repeated in the next week’s announcements. But for material back to September 2014, the search box on the top of any page of this website will return listings for names associated with a handout. And then there is always Google.
