Helen Kimbrough announced that Augustine Literacy Project’s HELPS program needs volunteers. Details.
Dr. Thomas Moore announced a Christmas singalong on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 6824 Tuckaseegee Rd.
Lee Henderson announced that Smart Start has spots in its county-funded Meck Pre-K program that operates at 33 schools, is enrolling for 2019, and has a Meck Basics program focused on birth-age 3. Details at website.

Bruce Jenkins sent in an announcement that the Rev. William Barber will speak on “Just Jesus: The Black Church and Social Justice Preaching” for the inaugural lecture in in an African-American Social Justice Preaching series at C.N.
