Blanche Penn announced that the Silver Fox Cheerleaders organization had obtained its 501(c)(3) tax exempt status.
J’Tanya Adams announced that she would file Tuesday for election to City Council District 2 based on her “proven record of deliverables.” She also announced a collaboration with the city to bring to Charlotte the ConnectHome Nation program to assist families in HUD-assisted housing get connected to the Internet.
Braxton Winston announced that he would file for City Council at-large on Wednesday, July 19 at 3:30 p.m.
Carlenia Ivory announced a ribbon-cutting for the Stevenson Apartments at Statesville Road and LaSalle Avenue, named for Forum co-founder Sarah Stevenson, on Aug. 29 immediately following the Forum.
