New name, but decades of service to city’s future leaders

June 28, 2022

The name Alliance Center for Education left even community-minded Forum participants with blank looks.

But when the name Bethlehem Center of Charlotte surfaced, many faces brightened; ah, the perils of rebranding.

Jared Keaton, CEO of the Alliance Center, explained the rebranding, much about the organization’s work, its many locations, its record of retaining staff, preparations for post-pandemic growth, and its one constant: focus on improving the lives of children.

Keaton brought a PowerPoint presentation, but technical difficulties prevented it from being on the wall behind him. The slides from the presentation are below the video. The slides in a single PDF may be downloaded here.

In the video below, all of the audio from Keaton’s presentation and answers to questions survived. One audio lapse during the opening prayer is marked, and several video outages are also marked.
