I’ve voted (already by absentee ballot!) because I treasure our democracy, imperfect though it is.
I voted (already!) because as citizens, voting is one of the easiest things we can do to make our country better.

Dr. Araminta Johnston is a retired professor of religious studies and ethics, having taught both at UNC Charlotte and Queens University of Charlotte. A native of Mississippi, she has been in North Carolina since 1966. Both of her daughters graduated from West Charlotte High. She holds a BA from Duke, an MA from Wake Forest and a Ph.D. in religion from Duke University.
