Candidates in March 3 at-large county commissioners contest

January 21, 2020 Candidates & Ballots

From left: Ray McKinnon, Leigh Altman, Pat Cotham, Lloyd Scher, Ella Scarborough, Tera Long, Tigress McDaniel.

Jan. 21, 2010

The Forum heard this morning from seven of the eight Democrats on the March 3 County Commissioners primary ballot. With three at-large seats to be elected in November, and no Republicans having filed, three Democrats will effectively be chosen in the primary to serve two-year terms. Candidate Brenda Stevenson was not present.

Incumbents are Pat Cotham and Ella Scarborough. Incumbent Trevor Fuller is running for lieutenant governor. Lloyd Scher served from 1992-2000.

In the video below, the presentations begin at minute 6:40. The Q&A begins at 27:22.
