2 Charlotte natives are making their marks

February 13, 2018 Growing Business

From left: Dr. Shanté Williams, Lambert Guinn.

Feb. 13, 2018

Two Charlotte natives are back in the city and they are making their marks.

Dr. Shanté Williams is a chemist and inventor with a work history in big pharma. All that has led her into founding an investment firm and head the city’s Black Chamber of Commerce.

Lambert Guinn is an assistant U.S. attorney, based in Charlotte, whose focus at work is prosecuting drug and firearm-related cases.

The questions focused on street drugs, overprescribed drugs, guns and how to make ethical investments. Williams could readily offer her personal advice on areas of her expertise. Guinn constantly faced broad questions of federal policy that are far out of his areas of responsibility, so he was chose his words very carefully.

In the video below, the presentation begins at minute 17:30. The Q&A begins at minute 29:21.
