Tradesmen’s trucks dot the parking lot. A demolition company has workers on site cleaning up. The 1960s West Charlotte Recreation Center’s long-promised renovation is under way.
Below in pictures are indications of the work as of today. The original design plans as shared with the neighborhood in 2014 are here.

The 2014 renovation plans called for an extension of the low building across the front of the gym, to create another meeting room.
