Three nonprofits collaborate with each other, the big hospitals and other area providers to fill some of the gaps in health care for area residents who find themselves without options.
Two of the groups, Care Ring and Charlotte Community Health, are mostly local. NC MedAssist has grown to serve statewide.
Handouts: Don Jonas provided to the participants one flier on Care Ring and another on more detail about Physicians Research Out. Susan Royster provided a MedAssist card in English and Spanish. And Joyce Brooks provided a Charlotte Community Health Clinic newsletter and a card.
The videos capture the presentations and conversations Tuesday. To be added here will be links to their websites and the brochures that they handed out to Forum participants.
The first video includes Don Jonas’ presentation about Care Ring. Because of time constraints, he was unable to speak about every one of the slides he displayed. The slides are included below the first video so readers here may read and they listen to the video.
Below the slides as they are available will be video from the rest of the presentations and the Q&A that followed.
