Mayfield: City moves money to fill afterschool program budget gap

Charlotte City Council District 3 representative LaWana Mayfield announced at the Dec. 4, 2012 Tuesday Morning Breakfast Forum that the council had approved use of discretionary funds to prevent a funding gap that could have led to a shutdown of children’s city-assisted afterschool programs in June and July of 2012.
