Ceretha Sherrill announced that United Voices for Education would hold its second annual Juneteenth flag-raising on Monday, June 6 in a 15-minute ceremony at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 2020 W. Sugar Creek Rd.

Tommie Robinson announced that his art would be displayed at the Mint Museum in February.

Kenneth Robinson of Freedom Fighting Missionaries announced that a church had recently donated to his organization a parcel of land for construction of 24 affordable housing units. He encouraged other groups to solicit land from churches.

Ken Koontz announced the funeral for Ella Scarborough on Wednesday, June 1, with visitation at noon and funeral at 1 p.m., at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3400 Beatties Ford Rd.
