Dr. Derrick P. Alridge, a former middle and high school teacher and Winthrop graduate, heads a University of Virginia research team seeking to interview, in June, via Zoom or phone, teachers and administrators in Charlotte who taught during the years 1950-1980. The Teachers in the Movement project will archive the oral histories. Participants will receive a certificate and $25 gift card. Send suggestions of interviewees to Kimberly Wilson at D.
