The Forum would not meet for another 20 minutes. The Belmont Center’s conference room was nearly empty. City staff announced that they would be running a test of the Parkwood Avenue building’s fire alarm system.

Early childhood educator Dr. Thomas Moore, who plays the piano regularly at the Forum,  had barely entered the room when that test began.

Within moments, Dr. Moore began to calm nerves, ease anxiety and refocus on what only music can deliver. Take a listen.
