Sheriff appeals for help addressing recidivism

February 19, 2019 Government & Politics

Garry McFadden

Feb. 19, 2019

In his presentation at the Forum this morning, Sheriff Garry McFadden appealed to congregations to “adopt” a pod at what he calls the Mecklenburg detention center (aka, jail) and welcome returning citizens into the community, into their churches, and provide them the material support, attention and jobs that they need to avoid recidivisum.

McFadden invited people wanting more information to visit his office. There is also a contact form on the sheriff’s website.
