November 21, 2017 Government & Politics

Nov. 21, 2017

Carlenia Ivory was appointed last summer to finish Al Austin’s District 2 City Council term after he left for a state job in Raleigh. She will finish her service when Justin Harlow is sworn in Dec. 4 along with others elected Nov. 7.

She told the Forum this morning about what she has learned, looking at her beloved District 2 through the “different lens” of service on Council. Some constituents will not find her assessment flattering; many may find that it rings true.

Ivory’s comments were made during an Open Forum. Video from the full meeting is posted here.
