County Manager Dena Diorio introduced three of her recent hires: assistants Mark Foster (Financial Services) and Anthony Trotman (Health & Human Services), and Peter Zeiler, director of economic development. Most of the questions went to Diorio and Zeiler.
Separately: Terrell Ivory, assistant director of admission and head basketball coach at Phillips Academy, Andover, Mass. reported on his recruiting efforts among urban minority youth, painting a picture of a way forward for ambitious, well-prepared young minorities into top-notch colleges by way of a large group of prep schools that work together to find the right fit for prospective students.
The session, broadcast live this morning, ended with a presentation by three legislators: Rep. Beverly Earle, Rep. Rodney Moore, and Sen. Joel Ford.
