Have a question? Use the form below
Type your question in message area, adding your name if you do not want to be anonymous, and then click submit button. Your text will appear in the box, and may be used during the day’s Q&A..
The box above is for livestream viewers’ use to ask questions of Forum presenters. The box above is monitored only during Forum meetings. Submitting a question does not guarantee that the question will be asked. All decisions about use of this material during Forum meetings are made in the sole discretion of the meeting’s facilitators.
Questions submitted may be edited for clarity, brevity and taste if they are used. Vulgar or offensive words or phrases in a question may be excised before the question is added to the box. The use of vulgar or offensive language not excised automatically may lead to the text in the box being either edited or removed. All questions are removed from the collection box between meetings and will not carry over to the next meeting.
After Forum meetings, YouTube and sometimes Facebook will show a recording of the livestream until the livestream is replaced with a meeting video.
The Forum meets in person on most Tuesday mornings beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Belmont Center, 700 Parkwood Ave. Some free parking is available in a lot near North Davidson Street. Free on-street parking is available up the hill on McDowell Street.
About the number below
The Forum wanted to know how many viewers watch Tuesday’s livestream on this page. The software company that ferries the signal from Webex to this page does not yet have such a counter. (Facebook’s more robust data-gathering already keeps count of how many of its users click on a post.)
So the number above means nothing by itself. Here’s how it’s used:
The number before a Tuesday livestream will be X; the number immediately after the meeting ends will be Y. Subtracting X from Y yields some indication of how many times Internet users clicked to the page during the meeting. That’s not to say every user watched, but it’s a pretty good estimate.
This attendance estimate joins the Facebook count and a head count at the Belmont Center on this page to offer some idea of the reach of the Forum’s Tuesday morning presentations.
