Looking for ways to kick-start community engagement

Sean Garrett looks at the graph above and is worried. Worried not just about the United Way he now heads in Charlotte, but worried how the community will thrive and serve all its people.

The graph tracks a loss of community engagement by residents, as tracked by a social capital survey, and the trend is not upward.

These and other issues were part of Garrett’s conversation and his answers to questions at the Forum this morning.
