Moore offers update on racial profiling bill

December 2, 2014 Government & Politics

N.C. Rep. Rodney Moore offered the update below on a bill he is working on in the N.C. General Assembly to address issues of racial profiling.

During the Q&A that followed his short presentation, he faced a comment from the audience that African-Americans need to act to end abuse by police by getting trained in the use of guns, then obtain concealed-carry gun permits.

When the same person asked Moore what he thought the chance was of his bill passing, Moore said it was unlikely in the current political environment.
