Weekly e-mails of Forum Announcements are compiled from material sent in via e-mail plus events mentioned during Forums. “Upcoming events” focus on public policy topics of interest to Mecklenburg residents that are open to the public. Announcements, July 12, 2016

No announcements were taken during the Forum today.

Louise Woods sent in an announcement that “Summer Suppers” begin Wednesday, July 13 at 6 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 6030 Albemarle Rd, with a presentation by a group from Myers Park United Methodist about their visit to Immigrant House/Casa del Migrante. The series continues on Wednesdays through August with “stories from Honduras, South Africa and Ethiopia while ‘breaking bread’ together.”

Larken Egleston sent in an announcement that the Young Democrats of Mecklenburg County will meet Tuesday, July 19 from 6:30-8 p.m. at AZN Restaurant in SouthPark, 4620 Piedmont Row Dr. Info here.

Jane Whitley sent in an announcement that Democratic Women of Mecklenburg County will meet with other party auxiliaries on Wednesday, July 13 at 7 p.m. at The Asian Library, 1339 Baxter St.

Laura Clark sent in the July 7 newsletter from Renaissance West Community Initiative.

April Barnes sent in the July 7 newsletter from the N.C. Pace Association.
