Two candidates are on the Nov. 4 ballot for Charlotte City Council District 6. This morning’s speaker was Democrat Kimberly Owens, who says she has had few occasions during the election cycle to appear with Republican opponent Krista Bokhari.
Topics of the day included the transit tax, the impact of the federal shutdown, gentrification, absence of affordable housing in District 6, Owens’ relationships with incumbent council members, and providing support for all children as they grow.
Readers will find some information about Owens’ life experience that is not on her campaign website. They may also experience a mind and a face that are in constant expression.
