The video below captures a reality deeper and more nuanced than the generic “experience” section of a LinkedIn page. Indeed, parental discretion is advised for those watching this morning’s video with young children.
Kim Graham, executive director of the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association, began this Forum session during Women’s History Month by saying she is uncomfortable talking about herself, and generally does not. And yet she did, probably knowing that her story is a story shared in part by many women who have succeeded despite barriers and outrageous behavior by others. Equally, her testimony could be of immense value to young people figuring out what’s what, and why, in their own life journey.
Finally, scoffers should be advised that Graham asserts that there is no disentangling her faith journey from her employment journey. And so the inquiries made by friends or total strangers along the way are not just random inquiries about her employment journey, but calls from her God about His next assignment. Listen, for example, for the word “assignment” in one of her stories about a career move.
