A pitch to participate in planning Charlotte’s future

City Planning Assistant Director Alysia Osborne is project manager for the CLT Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan. While there are many groups of staff working on the plan, Osborne leads a team focused on what the city will look like in 30, 40 years, and what it will take to keep Charlotte a liveable, attractive place to live that far out.

Osborne fielded a lot of pointed questions. The crowd’s favorite seemed to be from a young student who wanted to know if the city could stimulate job opportunities reachable by the city’s students that had more of a future than clerking at groceries or big-box stores. You may have another favorite. The video from the meeting is below.
