Richard Allen McElrath Sr., longtime Forum participant, former CMS math teacher and District 2 representative on the CMS Board of Education, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

His sister Natheley reported that Richard had been in Hospice care about two weeks, following a year in memory care.

A gathering of family with friends will be Wednesday, March 25 from 10 a.m.-noon at A.E. Grier & Sons Funeral and Cremation, 2310 Statesville Avenue. A celebration of life service follows at noon. An obituary is here. The QCityMetro story is here.
