In a visit that was not announced in advance. Mecklenburg Commissioners Chair George Dunlap presented his case for voter support of a proposal on the November ballot that would increase the sales tax to fund arts, education and parks programs.
The video excerpts include Dunlap’s presentation, his answers to questions raised later in the Forum about the sales tax proposal, and comments on the proposal by the candidates for office who were presenting Tuesday: District 4 City Council candidates Renee Perkins Johnson and Brandon Pierce; District 6 City Council incumbent and candidate Tariq Bokhari; and District 2 City Council candidate Malcolm Graham.
