An Open Forum is always fascinating for the issues brought to the table by Forum participants.

For this particular Open Forum, which fell two days before the beginning of early voting for the May 8 primary, candidates and surrogates were encouraged to make their case. Six candidates, five of whom are on the primary ballot, spoke on short notice.
