June 28, 2016

Three people representing health care providers presented this morning. Their lines of work are different. Their appointed tasks vary. The patients they serve vary as well.

If there were themes that tied the morning together, they were that these small organizations struggle to get the word out of their services; they all struggle with complex payment issues; and they are so at risk of being overwhelmed by patient needs that they must pick and choose carefully as their increase their community engagement.

McIlwaine owns her practice. Its website is here. Barnes is a recent hire at Pace of the Southern Piedmont. It’s website is here. Isaiah described his practice as a husband-and-wife team with his wife Shawntal, practicing with three other professionals. The firm’s website is here.

Video from this morning’s presentation is below. The presentations begin at minute 7:32.
