Nov. 24, 2015

Brenda Robinson addressed the Forum today with some of her personal story as the first African-American female Navy pilot, and some of her work since through a company creating aviation camps for young people. More on the campus is at her website.

Robinson appeared at the same Forum with Dr. Ophelia Garmon-Brown and Dee O’Dell, co-chairs of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Opportunity Task Force. The Task Force presentation is here.

A seriesĀ of slides ran on the television behind Robinson as she spoke. Robinson declined to allow the slides to be copied for presentation here.

The video below is of lesser quality than the original live broadcast, for which the scribe apologizes. The tape of the live broadcast has been edited to remove music unrelated to Robinson’s presentation that was flagged by YouTube as a copyright violation.
