Appeals Court candidate Lucy Inman

May 20, 2014 Candidates & Ballots

140520Inman3

Lucy Inman is one of a number of candidates on the November ballot for seats on the N.C. Court of Appeals. She has served for four years as a special assignment judge on the N.C. Superior Court, and on Tuesday was in Charlotte to preside over courtroom. She lives in Raleigh. Her campaign website is here.

Before heading off to court, Inman addressed the Forum, then took a few questions.

Below are two videos, the first of the judge’s introductory comments, the second of excerpts from the Q&A.

During the Q&A, there was discussion of expungement of felony records in North Carolina. On May 31, Judge Inman wrote suggesting that Forum participants who are interested in the details of how certain first-time drug offenses may be expunged might consult an article written by the UNC School of Government, titled “Conviction of Controlled Substance, Drug Paraphernalia, and Toxic Vapor Offenses,” which is available online here and cached at this site here.
