On a day when the opening prayer invoked the sacrifices made on this day in 2001, Supt. Heath Morrison praised Charlotte-Mecklenburg teachers for their efforts and offered a number of observations he’s made in his three months on the job.

Morrison was last at the Forum on April 24, the day that the CMS Board of Education voted to hire Morrison to succeed Supt. Peter Gorman, who resigned in 2011. Hugh Hattabaugh served as interim.
