Keiba Young sent in a list of dates for Health Department immunization sessions for schoolchildren, some fliers, and a summary of the N.C. law requiring proof of immunizations within 30 days of the start of school.

Colette Forrest sent in an announcement that the Black Political Caucus will meet Sunday, Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. at Reeder Memorial Baptist Church, 3725 Beatties Ford Rd., to discuss a proposed bond referendum; and on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. at C.N. Jenkins Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1421 Statesville Ave., for school board candidate and bond endorsements.
