Note on primary candidacies: For the duration of the municipal primary season (through Sept. 12), the announcements will carry links to all materials sent to the Forum from candidates. In the past, announcements were generally limited to events open to the public. Links will be collected by office and name, and displayed at the bottom of each set of announcements. This policy will be reviewed after the primary election, and may change or be continued. The change is motivated by the crowded primary field and by the scribe’s sense that well-meaning candidates need some help competing for voters’ time amid a Twitter-dominated news cycle.
