City Council District candidates

City Council candidates made their last appearance before the Forum this morning. Invited were all City Council candidates in contested races, plus District 5 Democrat Matt Newton, who emerged from an Oct. 10 primary runoff and does not face opposition, but who has not addressed the Forum as a candidate this round. At-large candidates James Mitchell and Dimple Ajmera also attended.

The full list of those invited:

District 2: Democrat Justin Harlow, Republican Pete Givens.

District 3: Democrat LaWana Mayfield, Republican Daniel Herrera.

District 5: Democrat Matt Newton.

District 6: Democrat San Grundman, Libertarian Jeff Scott, Republican Tariq Bokhari.

Diistrict 7: Democrat Sharon Roberts, Republican Ed Driggs.
