March 12, 2013

Stacey Rose is a former principal of one N.C. charter school (Kennedy, initially serving Elon Homes residents). And now she is the applicant for a state charter to open Charotte Learning Center in Charlotte in 2014.

The Los Angeles native visited the Forum today as a part of campaign to build public awareness and support of the school. The first pages of a website are up, and she is corresponding with school supporters on Facebook.

Below are video clips from Rose’s initial presentation, and the questions she fielded. She appeared on a panel that included Dr. Nicole Priestly, executive director of CMS Central Zone Title 1 elementary schools, and Toni Tupponce, program director of A Sign of the Times of the Carolinas.
