3 candidates for N.C. Senate discuss issues facing state government

Three of the eight candidates on the Mecklenburg ballot for N.C. Senate seats addressed the Forum today.

Malcolm Graham, left, faces Earl Lyndon Philip in District 40. Jeff Tarte, center, is unopposed in District 41. Joel Ford, right, faces Richard Rivette in District 38. In District 39, Jack Flynn faces Bob Rucho.

The candidates predicted a lively debate in next year’s General Assembly over taxation to support education and health care.
