Community action groups described

Feb. 14, 2012

Panelists representing a variety of community organizations came together Tuesday to describe the work of their organizations. Many pledged to return Feb. 28 to discuss how they would cooperate more fully than in the past.

Panelists were, clockwise from top left, Kojo Nantambu, president of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg NAACP; Dr. Robbie Akhere, president of the Black Women's Caucus; Sylvester Fleming Jr., president of the Mecklenburg Democrats' African American Caucus; Robin Bradford, first vice chair of the Black Political Caucus; and Judge Kimberly Best, who described the work of a set of committees involving a variety of elected and appointed governmental officials that allow judges to advocate for community changes that will reduce their caseload and improve the community.

Below, as they are available, are videos of their presentations.
