Forum topics: Insurance rates to schools to Obama

Tuesday's Forum featured two candidates and a staffer for the Obama for President campaign.

Nathaniel Cooper, a Forum regular, is mounting an uphill campaign to get on the November ballot as an independent candidate for N.C. Insurance Commissioner.

Harold Cogdell, a former member of Charlotte City Council, is in the May 6 primary as an at-large candidate for the Meckelnburg Board of County Commissioners.

And Trista Allen, after stints as Southern Field Director, is now spearheading N.C. Women for Obama in the runup to the state's presidential primary.

The Forum welcomes all persons to its meetings beginning at 8 a.m. most Tuesdays of the year
at the West Charlotte Recreation Center, 2222 Kendall Drive, Charlotte, NC
down the hill from West Charlotte High School.
