CMS request for capital projects at area schools
A list of school construction and renovation projects to be funded by general obligation bonds was approved by the school board April 26. The list was handed out at the Forum on May 8 by Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners Chairman Jennifer Roberts.
The school board's request faces a review by commissioners, who can approve or deny the request for a bond issue, or approve a bond issue for a larger or smaller amount. In the event of a changed amount, the school board would revise the list below to match the total amount approved.
The list below includes all items approved by the school board, but has been re-ordered to separate the projects into three categories: new schools, additions/renovations, and other. Within each category, schools are separated by elementary, middle and high school levels for ease of reading.
