ANNOUNCEMENTS from Dec. 13, 2005:

Dec. 20: 25th anniversary celebration. Breakfast $5.
The Forum closes Dec. 20 for a holiday break, and resumes Jan. 10.

T.B. Haynes encouraged support of Physicians Reach Out, 1112 Harding Place #200, 704-376-3688, coordinator of donations providing low-income, uninsured residents access to health care.
Sherry Wilson from Parks & Recreation announced that final action on a name for the new park in Third Ward had been delayed until early in the new year. She passed on a message from John McClelland inviting all to see the lights at Freedom Park.
Tammy Johnson announced she was considering creating a new organization, to be called Through Their Eyes, to provide assistance to women and children in Liberia.
Lucy Bush announced that Friendship Trays has a short-term need for volunteers to assist in food preparation weekday mornings from 8:15-10:30. Volunteers are helping bridge a labor gap between Monday's graduation of students from the Culinary School and the mid-January beginning of a new Culinary School class. Info: 704-333-9229.
Nathely McElrath announced that at the Dec. 20 25th Anniversary Celebration a prize would be awarded to the person with the most [correct] answers to the following Christmas Riddles:
